Flying Trans-Atlantic for Cheap on Norwegian's 787

When I went to London this winter, I chose to fly the first leg in business class (booked with miles) and jumped on a super-cheap economy flight back with Norwegian Air Shuttle (you can read about how I booked the flights here). I’ve flown on RyanAir, EasyJet, WizzAir, etc. before, but this was my first time on one of the trans-Atlantic low-cost carriers (LCCs) and I was interested in seeing how it compared to a mainstream airline.

United Again

A few weeks ago I wrote about my EWR-BOS flight with United – my first domestic flight with the airline in years. I was a little surprised by how subpar the product was, though I realize that such a short flight on an old 737-700 is not the best way to judge the airline. I was looking forward to my next United flight to see if things were better on a different route, and that came just a few weeks later thanks to a work trip to New Orleans. . .

Tons of AA Business Saver Space Available

. . .There is a ton of availability on AA metal for business class saver award tickets throughout February, March, April, and May (to a lesser extent). While there's normally saver space using AAdvantage miles on British Airways, flying BA metal exposes you to absurdly high carrier-imposed surcharges. . .

Flying United

About a week and a half ago, I flew United for the first time in a few years. Usually when I go between New York and Boston I take Amtrak, but United had a great fare. . .
